(A WORD FOR YOU ON THE EVIL EFFECTS OF COVID-19 AND AGAINST ITS SECOND WAVE)

Text: Nahum 1:1-15

Introduction
This morning (Sunday May 3rd) I became fired up after listening to my Pastor from our online service. That the existence of facts should not be a denial or death sentence to faith. We must faith the facts if we are expecting a miracle. And by the word of the Lord I shared on my You Tube Channel and other platforms that this is our month of Prophetic Answers, I can’t but declare the word of the Lord as it is rolling into my spirit.

I read from Nahum 1:6-9,11-13,15 KJV – (please I encourage you to read the whole chapter)

“Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him. [7] The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. [8] But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies. [9] What do ye imagine against the Lord? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time. [11] There is one come out of thee, that imagineth evil against the Lord, a wicked counsellor. [12] Thus saith the Lord; Though they be quiet, and likewise many, yet thus shall they be cut down, when he shall pass through. Though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more. [13] For now will I break his yoke from off thee, and will burst thy bonds in sunder. [15] Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace! O Judah, keep thy solemn feasts, perform thy vows: for the wicked shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off.”

I am not preaching this message to the world, because I know the world will not believe, if they believe not, then it shall not come to pass.

But I am impressed in my spirit to speak to as many that have an ear to hear and a heart to believe the word of the Lord. I am speaking to those who will trust in Him and take Him by his word.

The world has spoken about the second wave of COVID-19 and they are strategizing for it. I am here to announce to you and not to the world, this affliction shall not arise again.

Do I mean the world will not be afflicted again? NO. Do I mean people will not be sick again? NO. Do I mean businesses of people will not closed down again? NO. I am not here to deny the fact of the second wave of the COVID-19 as science has predicted. But I am here to announce to you and I mean you that are privileged to hear this and will choose to believe it, that this affliction shall not arise again in the name of Jesus.

I want you to know that affliction has its purpose. Our God is not wicked when He allows the devil to afflict men and sometimes His children, He is only creating an opportunity for the greatness of His children, stretch their faith and in turn give glory to His name. Hear this prophecy after an affliction in Isaiah 30:18-20,23-26 KJV

“And therefore will the Lord wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the Lord is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him. [19] For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee. [20] And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers: [23] Then shall he give the rain of thy seed, that thou shalt sow the ground withal; and bread of the increase of the earth, and it shall be fat and plenteous: in that day shall thy cattle feed in large pastures. [24] The oxen likewise and the young asses that ear the ground shall eat clean provender, which hath been winnowed with the shovel and with the fan. [25] And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers and streams of waters in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall. [26] Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the Lord bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound.”

There is a day to be afflicted but there is always a day that Lord will heal the wound of His people.

The purpose of the affliction over the world at this time is to bring the world to its sense, to fulfill the prophecy of the end time, to warn His children about the season and to establish his supremacy over the affairs of men. Or would you have thought in the recent history just all of a sudden that something can lockdown the whole world for this long?

What has happened to you during this period? What wave has this season blown upon you in the contrary?

You may have lost loved ones
You may have lost your job
You may have lost your business(es)
Your health may have been the worst for it.
You may have lost your sanity and despair with no hope of recovery
May be you were infected with the Coronavirus.
Whatever it was……

Hear ye the word of the Lord, this affliction in your life shall not arise the second time in the name of Jesus.

Not only that this affliction shall not arise again but you will recover in the name of Jesus name. Let us see the word of the Lord in 1 Samuel 30:4-8 KJV

“Then David and the people that were with him lifted up their voice and wept, until they had no more power to weep. [5] And David’s two wives were taken captives, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite. [6] And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God. [7] And David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech’s son, I pray thee, bring me hither the ephod. And Abiathar brought thither the ephod to David. [8] And David enquired at the Lord, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.”

The Lord told David to pursue and he will recover all. What you need to do is to pursue. Do not sit down in despair. Do not continue your lamentation stories. David encouraged himself in the Lord and he set the tune for recovery by calling upon God.

Hear what Paul said, in 2 Corinthians 4:8-9,13-14,17-18 KJV

“We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; [9] Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; [13] We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; [14] Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. [17] For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; [18] While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

You may have been troubled but do not be distressed, in your perplexity do not despair. You cannot afford to lose hope, you cannot afford to give up on God. Do you believe, then speak it? The power that raised Jesus is still in force and shall raise you again. There is an exceeding glory that will come to you after this season in Jesus’ name.

As the Lord opens the door for the world again like He opened the door for Noah and the animals after the flood, the Lord will remember His people and open the door for us. Come out and pursue!

Take bold steps again into your path in life. Start all over, re-invest, re-open your businesses, re-apply, re-energize, re-train, repackage, take bold step of faith, plant, sow the seed and your harvest shall speedily come in the name of Jesus.

Isaac sowed in the land, right in the midst of famine in Gen 26 but in the same famine he had bountiful harvest. Though the experts have predicted recession to follow after this lockdown but to you I say when men are saying casting down, there is a lifting that is coming for you in the name of Jesus.

Look at Psalm 66:10-16 KJV
For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried. [11] Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins. [12] Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place. [13] I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows, [14] Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble. [15] I will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah. [16] Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.

At the end of this tunnel of affliction the Lord is bringing you into a wealth place in the name of Jesus.

Maybe you are seeing men as trees now, you are living in the shadow of yourself and you are thinking you can never have it good again. Everything looks blur and the future is not in sight.

Hear the word of the Lord, Haggai 2:3-6,8-9 KJV

“Who is left among you that saw this house in her first glory? and how do ye see it now? is it not in your eyes in comparison of it as nothing? [4] Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the Lord ; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the Lord, and work: for I am with you, saith the Lord of hosts: [5] According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not. [6] For thus saith the Lord of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land ; [8] The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the Lord of hosts. [9] The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of hosts.”

Who has seen the former beauty? What was your description of your life, family business, in its former glory before affliction struck?  But this I declare unto you; the glory of the latter shall be greater than the former.

And how is this going to happen, I see the Lord giving you a second touch. Mark 8:23-25 KJV

“And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought. [24] And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking. [25] After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.”

When the man could not see well Jesus gave him another touch and he was able to see clearly. He was restored. This suggests to me that the man must have seen before. He knows the description of a tree and how men look like. But amazingly the scriptures say he was restored.

I prophesy by the unction of the prophetic answer over this month, you shall be restored in the name of Jesus.

I pray the Lord will lay His hand on you and your vision shall be re-sharpened in the name of Jesus. The hand of the Lord will give you a re-orientation, the Lord will give you new wisdom, the Lord will give you a new insight, the Lord will give you new strategies, the Lord will give you new people, the Lord will give you new connections and friends and it will all work out His purpose, this affliction shall not rise again and you will recover all and be fully restored in Jesus name.

So, go, pursue, do the needful in man’s capacity, believe, speak and act what you believe. you will rise above the affliction and you will sing again.

THIS TIME SHALL PASS!!!
